Research fellowship at CAS in Oslo, 2013/14.
I was awarded a Research Fellowship (£45000) by the Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS) in Oslo/Norway to work on the project ‘Globalization and the possibility of transnational actors – the case of trade unions’.

BISA-HEU Teaching Award 2012/13.
Both Adam David Morton and myself were jointly awarded the 2012/13 BISA-HEA Award for Excellence in Teaching International Studies.

ESRC Research Grant on Chinese labour (2011-2014).
Andreas Bieler has been awarded a grant of £275k by the ESRC for a project on ‘Globalisation, national transformation and workers’ rights: an analysis of Chinese labour within the global economy’ (RES-062-23-2777). I was awarded a research fellowship by the Helsinki Collegium for Advanced Studies (£84500) to work on the project ‘Small European States in the Global Economy: Divergence or Convergence?’
